Three “C” Granola Bars-​Coconut, Cacao & Chia

I love these bars and to be honest I ‘ve eaten them for breakfast and for dessert. These healthy bars are  protein and fiber rich. They are also loaded with vitamins and minerals. To learn more about the health benefits of the seeds used in this recipe click here.

 

Ingredients:
1/2 C. Medjool dates, pitted
1/3 C. Ground flaxseed
2 T. Coconut butter
1/4 C. Maple Syrup
1/2 C. Almonds
1/2 C. Pumpkin Seeds
1/4 C. Chia Seeds
1/2 C. Cacao nibs
1/4 C. Hemp seeds
1/4 C. Sunflower Seeds
1/2 C. Coconut
1/2 C. GF Oatmeal
1/4-1/2 C. water

             

Directions:
Put the dates, ground flax, coconut butter, maple syrup and almonds in a food processor. Process until the mixture is a coarse paste.

Place the mixture in a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients, except the water. Mix well and gradually add water as needed to help hold mixture together.

Place mixture on teflex sheet and shape into a square that is 1/2 ” thick.

Place tray in dehydrator at 145 for one hour.

Turn down temperature to 115 and dehydrate for 3 hours.

Remove tray from dehydrator. Cut into squares or rectangles and place them on mesh sheet.

Return tray to dehydrator and dehydrate until firm approximately 3 hours or longer for a crunchier bar.
