Writing Requirements for My Health Maven
My Health Maven is an independent health and wellness site for individuals interested in Natural Health. We welcome writers to submit their original content.
Who Can Write For Us: Experienced writers, bloggers or experts in the field of health/fitness/food.
What Is Not Accepted: SEO driven articles. Articles and Bios that link to businesses, services or products.
Original Content: We accept original articles about Health, Wellness, Nutrition, DIY Recipes and Home Remedies.
Editing: Articles should be edited before submission. Only ready to publish pieces should be submitted.
Word Count: The ideal post runs between 600 and 1,000 words.
References: Articles must include a minimum of three references to medical or science studies. Health claims/research/studies/ statistics appearing in your article should be linked back to their original medical or science study, not to other articles.
Tone: Keep message positive and offer solutions or alternatives to the issues you are writing about.
Subtitles: Include subtitles/sub headings to break up your article and make it easier to read.
To Send Your Submission
- Contact us by e-mail with your topic ideas and explain why you feel it would be a good fit for our readers. Be sure to include some info about yourself, who you are and how you are qualified to write about the topic you are submitting.
2. Send your article as a word document to myhealthmaven(at)gmail(dot)com . Include the words Guest Post in the subject line for a faster response.
3. All submissions must include a working title, your bio and your photo.
Please note that your submission may be edited, abridged or otherwise altered, and by submitting to My Health Maven, you agree to this type of editing.
Acceptance, Notification and Social Media
Acceptance Notification: You will be notified about the acceptance of your article within 14 business days. We appreciate and thoroughly read all submissions, although due to the high volume of requests we only respond to articles we are interested in publishing.
Social Media Shares: When your article goes live, you’ll receive an e-mail notification with a live link. Feel free to promote your article on your social media circles.
Recognition: We include a bio for each author. Please keep your bio to 2-3 sentences (around 120 words). Be sure to include your photo with your bio. We will include a maximum of three links to your personal blog, Facebook, Twitter or other personal social media account. As noted previously we do not link to businesses, products or services.
Compensation: There is no payment for articles. We do offer links back to a maximum of three of your personal social media sites.
