Bruising

Home remedies are great for bruising. The easiest approach is a cold or wet compress placed on the bruise. Even a bag of frozen peas or corn will work to lessen the swelling.
Arnica– Is available in homeopathic cream and in homeopathic pill form, available at organic markets, pharmacies and online. Taken immediately after you’ve banged into something will minimize and in some cases eliminate bruising.

Arrowroot Powder– Use a Tablespoon or two and add enough water to make a paste. Apply to bumped/bruised area. When it dries you may be surprised to see that your bruise is minimal or nonexistent.

Castor Oil-Gently massage oil into bruise; this will help with pain and swelling.

Massage Oil-Simply rubbing a teaspoon or so of massage oil gently into the bruise will help the poled blood reabsorb into the body.

Oregano Poultice-Steep one teaspoon of dried oregano in one cup of hot water. Strain reserving both the oregano and the tea. Place the strained oregano in cloth and place it on the bruised area for 10-15 minutes. When the cloth dries, wet it with the oregano tea.

Vinegar-Mix equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and warm water. Soak a paper towel or cloth in the mixture and press gently against the bruise.

Witch Hazel-Mix equal amounts of witch hazel and warm water, soak a paper towel or cloth in the mixture and press gently against the bruise.
