3 Ingredient Blackberry Jam-Quick and Easy

Blackberry Jam on Toast

If you like jam and want to skip all the artificial ingredients like fruit flavoring and artificial coloring, give this amazing 3 ingredient jam recipe a try. It ‘ll only take twenty minutes of your time and it’s well worth it for this sweet delicious blackberry jam.

You can use frozen berries if fresh are unavailable, just allow them to thaw a little before heating up in the saucepan, so they are easier to crush.

Ingredients:

1-1/2 C. Blackberries

1/4 C. Honey

1 T. Lemon juice

 

Directions:

Place the blackberries in a small saucepan and crush them with a potato masher.

Add the remaining ingredients and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Stir frequently while the berries boil for 15 to 20 minutes and begins to thicken.

Test for doneness by placing a spoonful of jam  in the freezer for 5 minutes. If it solidifies it’s ready. If not continue cooking and stirring and try again.

Blackberry Jam in Jar

Place the jam in a sterilized jar. Cool to room temperature. Cover with an airtight lid and keep in the refrigerator.
