Four Ingredient Healthy Chocolate Candy

We all crave a little something sweet once in a while. With all of the amazing benefits in cacao, indulging in this  nutritious treat occasionally can actually be good for your health. With that in mind, here is a simple recipe for making your own chocolate candies at home. These are easily customizable, consider adding  chopped nuts, dried fruit or even your favorite superfood powders such as reishi or maca.

 

Ingredients:

1/2 C. Coconut oil, melted

1/2 C. Maple syrup

3/4 C. Cacao powder

3/4 C. Nuts, chopped (I used 1/4 C. Each of almond, cashews and walnuts)

Place coconut oil and maple syrup in a pan on stove. Heat on low till coconut oil melts. place liquid in a bowl and add in cacao powder. Whisk till smooth. Add nuts and stir till combined. Pour into molds. Place in freezer for 15-20 minutes or till set.
